According to a 2006 study performed by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, over 15% of Ontario citizens have some form of disability. And with Canada’s aging boomer population, that number is expected to continue growing. With that in mind, it’s no wonder why the government is updating its online accessibility guidelines and forcing Ontario organizations to modernize their websites to comply with the regulations. But online accessibility isn’t something that many people are familiar with, and it can be confusing to a marketing department to ensure its organization’s website is compliant with the new standards. In response to this sentiment, the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) produced the videos embedded below. Although they can be pretty goofy at times, they are very informative, and we recommend checking them out.
